On Monday, the tribunal learned phone records and data retrieved from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I believe."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's recording expressed: "Imagine there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What then? Is that not important for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I simply desire to understand," she added.

The jury was advised that by means of electronic messages, text messages and communications, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, transmitted youth pictures to her phone in a effort to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with the police force who gathered the data, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the call data.

On that date, Gerry McCann responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I will continue and I will prove my point."

The court was informed the co-defendant established a association via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to joining her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in the county in last December.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted via messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she ought to be treated respectfully in the period before the appearance to the village, the county, in December 2024.

The court heard communications between the two accused, in November 2024, discussing attempting to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her trash or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We have to make a stand," the co-defendant told Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their house, the defendant transmitted a text which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned near the McCanns' house with our lights out similar to investigators. I wanted to do this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings continues.
